Workshop Overview

As you move into a more senior HR in your career, you will often find that you need to have a more in depth understanding of employment law than just the essentials.

This workshop will cover some of the more complex and advanced areas of employment law that you may need to deal with in your HRBP role including the following:

• Medical Incapacity
• Fraud, bullying and toxic behaviour
• Complex restructuring and contentious changes
• Sick leave misuse
• Mental health at work
• Health and safety challenges
• Pay equity processes and issues
• Complex Holidays Act provisions

Facilitators

All of the Elephant team are HR experts who are trained in Employment Law. They are all engaging facilitators who will share their experience and knowledge with you and answer any questions you have.

Aaron McIntosh has over 20 years experience in HR, L&D, Capability, Health & Safety and management roles with extensive experience developing Health and Safety procedures. He has worked with companies as diverse as McDonalds, MBIE, Fastway Couriers, Craggy Range and ESITO. He joined Elephant in 2015.

Nikki Peck has over 19 years of generalist HR experience working in diverse sectors such as health, engineering, utilities, retail and not-for-profit.  Nikki has a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resources from The University of Auckland and joined Elephant in 2012 as an HR Consultant and facilitator.

Angela Atkins: Has worked in HR for over 20 years within local government, tertiary, retail, financial services and contact centres. She is the best selling author of Management Bites, Employment Bites & Training Bites. She is one of the founders of Elephant.

This workshop is one of the modules that make up the HR Business Partner Certificate. If you attend and then within 12 months sign up for the Certificate, you will be credited with attendance at the workshop.

You can also attend without being part of the HRBP Certificate.
